Introduction to Playing Online Games

Online games aren’t just for college kids who have no real life anymore. There are countless virtual arcades which have sprung up all over the internet, luring people from all walks of life for regular entertainment. There are so many different kinds of games that you are certain to find at least one that makes you want to kill some time.

Games in online arcades range from strategy games to classic card games; from action-adventure to simulation games. There are also games of strategy, puzzles and trivia games for all skill levels. Almost anyone can find at least one game that they can enjoy playing on a regular basis. By using Flash technology, even a simple game is made far more interactive and entertaining.

All age groups will be able to enjoy online gaming, as well. Games geared to children are also educational, teaching players about important subjects like math, science and reading. Parents can rest easy knowing that their kids aren’t just wasting time on the computer playing games–they are learning, too!

For adults, online gaming in the form of poker or other casino style games adds a whole new dimension to playing video games online. Millions of people have discovered the fun that can be had while playing poker for real money from home. In fact, you’ll find entire communities of online poker players who take their virtual games very seriously.

There are hundreds of free online game websites with varying degrees of professionalism. Some of the games are obviously made by amateur coders. However, for a small fee you can join arcades that have beautifully designed games.

In addition to the games, many of these sites also have public forums where you can register and take part in discussions about the games in the arcade. You’ll have fun meeting up fellow gamers to socialize and discuss strategy. You might decide to play the tournaments and have fun winning prizes or other rewards.

Try searching for some of the online game sites and you’re sure to find one that can keep you entertained for some mind-teasing fun.

Here is one new online games website that you can check out: Games Online

Mafia Wars Job Mastery Unpacked

When leveling up rapidly is your number one objective, concentrating on Mafia Wars jobs is an safe, solid strategy.  I say safe because fights and robbing will get you leveled up fast too, but you’ll probably end up on the hitlist or getting attacked a bunch yourself.  Jobs won’t earn you a crowd of vengeance-mad victims the way that fighting and robbery can.

Leveling juice (aka, experience points!) isn’t the only thing jobs deliver.  Money and loot are also results of doin’ the job.  Job loot can help you in equipping your mafia members.  It could be a weapon, armor, or a vehicle in the loot drop.  Completing collections is accomplished through jobs, as well, because loot drops will occasionally have special items.  Consider the money a way to purchase more Mafia Mike’s so that you can upkeep all that new equipment, and jobs will have positioned you perfectly to dominate Mafia Wars.

Don’t forget you’ll get skill points each time you “master” any job and job tier.  Those will also help  strengthen you as a character.  Energy is the category to put those points if you want to do mostly jobs and level that way.  If leveling isn’t your main goal, distributing those skill points into attack and defense and stamina is another choice.

The first job tier in Mafia Wars is Street thug, so let’s examine that for our discussion.  The job tiers are linked with certain levels, also.  At level 1 thru 4, Street Thug is the tier.  Boss tier – the highest tier in the New York City Mafia Wars venue – is related to players in level 100+. The jobs in Street Thug tier are as follows (including job ratio): Mugging (1); Corner Store Hold-Up (1); Warehouse Robbery (1); Auto Theft (1.14); Beat Up Rival Gangster (1); Rob A Pimp (1); Collect On A Loan (1).

As a raw beginner, these are the jobs you’ll do 1st.  You can proceed to the next tier before you’ve mastered every job in the tier 1x, but you can’t get all the mastery titles. Essentially, a tier is designed for a character with specific achieved level and mastery of the preceding tier.  But you can work any job tier if you have the right level.  Tiers are composed of more demanding jobs as you advance in the tiers.

Every job in Street Thug tier will need to be mastered by you.  Begin with Auto Theft to get in the habit of choosing the highest Mafia Wars jobs ratio!  You’ll do the Auto Theft job repeatedly to master it.  You’ll see a blue bar that shows how you’re progressing in mastering the job.  When you’ve mastered Auto Theft, it will be a solid blue bar.  Once you’ve mastered the given job, you’ll receive a skill point.

Repeat the job mastery process on all the jobs in the tier and you’ll have mastered the tier for the first time.  You get  skill point and a title to place with your Mafia Wars name.  You are now “Street Thug YourMWName.”

Don’t done with those jobs|put all the jobs out of your mind] once you’ve mastered a tier!  Some jobs will yield smokin’ hot loot, experience, or cash.  You can do gravy jobs even when you’ve leveled up beyond the tier and earned mastery of it.  Unless you need the .22 pistol, 9mm, or a Diamond card, Street Thug tier is a bit thin on yummy loot, but you understand my point about revisiting jobs.

Getting mastery for each job a 2nd time is worth the energy.  The reward for your mastery is eight more skill points to distribute, a “Skilled Street Thug” title, and a five percent increase in the loot drop for jobs in the thug tier.

Grin and bear it in order to master every job for the third time and you’ll get additional skill points and the top title for the tier, “Master Street Thug Don Default.”  You’ll also get 10% extra loot in the Street thug tier.  And the real gravy – you earn 5% experience bonus for any Street Thug job you do after mastery.

You’ll also get the bonus item for 3rd tier mastery.  For Street Thug, the bonus item is the Pistol Bayonet that escalates the damage you can deliver in Mafia Wars fights by 4%.  Mastery bonus items are usually pretty excellent.

A final appeal to your smarts: If you master every NY job tiers, you’ll receive a total of 219 Mafia Wars skill points.  Very nice!
