Throw Out The Plastic Guitars For This Rock Game
You may as well throw out those plastic guitars because this is a game where you will not need one at any time. You need no skills in the guitar, no hand eye coordination and no large spaces are needed at all. So what am I on about?
Brutal Legend is the game that I am on about here and the game itself is based upon album art from classic rock with the main guy voiced by the funny Jack Black. This is no game for kids, not by any means as this game comes with an 18 certificate plastered on the front of it even though you do have an option at the start of the game to take out the swearing. For an 18 game it is not really known why they did this, perhaps it can be used if there are children in the room and they want to be a bit more involved with the game.
However there is a lot of violence in the game with the majority of it being spent hitting, killing and running over anything you see. There is actually a multiplayer aspect to this game and it is not what might pop into the head at first. This is actually slightly different to the majority of the single player game as it is based a bit on strategy more than anything as you have to spawn your army and send them and yourself to take over the enemys “stage”.
The weapons in the game include a gigantic battle axe and one of those awesome looking guitars that you see in classic rock. It is not really based on one of those Bass Guitars or Electric Guitars but is a combination of all things rock.
It is not just Jack Black that has been involved in this game other stars include Lita Ford, Tim Curry and the prince of darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne. This game really does have a brilliant and gripping storyline that contains many funny moments.
