The Nintendo DS Model You Have Determines Which R4 DS Card Is Right For You

R4 DS Card

If you’re looking to buy the R4 DS Card, it is imperative that you know which version you should purchase. There are a number of R4 DS Cards available. There are just 2 official models of the R4 DS, and which one you decide to buy depends on which version of the Nintendo DS you own.

Once you’ve purchased the right R4 DS Card, you’ll need to learn how to use it.  While it most certainly isn’t hard at all to set it up, you would be surprised to know that most people, when they receive the R4 DS card, have no idea on how to use it.  Instructions are included with all R4 DS Cards, whether you’ve just bought the R4i SDHC or the original R4 DS.It isn’t nearly as daunting as it seems. You just have to set it up, making sure to copy the fimrware to the microSD memory card before you start using it in your Nintendo DS or DSi console.

The R4 DS truly is an amazing accessory (and a must have in my books) for your NDS / NDSi system.  With it you turn your NDS into much more than just a portable games player.  You’ll be able to truly utilize your NDS console in ways you never thought possible.  You’ll be able to listen to music (standard MP3 format), read eBooks (why spend money on an eBook reader, when you’ve already got one in the palm of your hand), and also watch your favorite movies / TV Shows with ease.

The R4 DS is the original slot 1 flash card for the Nintendo DS.One of the most sought after slot 1 homebrew flash cards to ever come to market. The original R4 DS Card will work in all of the original NDS / NDS Lite systems.

If you have the newest NDSi console, the one with out the gameboy advance slot, then you need to purchase the R4i SDHC.  The R4i SDHC is the only card in the R4 DS Family that will work on the newest Nintendo DSi console.  It’s of the utmost importance that you do not confuse the two version of the R4 DS.

While the R4i is capable of working with the original NDS and NDS Lite console, the R4 DS Card (original) is not compatible with the Nintendo DSi console.Buying the original version of the R4 DS Card for your NDSi simply won’t work, and you’ll be wondering what you’re doing wrong, or whether it’s defective.

Unlike stand alone media players that can cost upwards of 0 or more, you’ll have all of the same benefits but alos the ability to watch movies, read ebooks and listen to your music… But more than that, you’ll also be able to play the coolest Nintendo DS games too.Making it far superior to what an ordinary PMP player.
