WoW Engineering – Inventors and Mechanics?

When it comes to fun professions in WoW Engineering is the word. Engineers basically combine different parts in the purpose of production of various items. They are able to craft bombs, guns, bullets, armor pieces, pets, bots, ground and flying vehicles, etc.

Many players choose Engineering just for fun and because of special items they can make such as a Flying Machine. This is a flying mount that requires 300 skill in Engineering and you can obtain schematics for this fantastic mount in Shadowmoon Valley at Niobe Whizzlespark. Is Engineering difficult to level up?

Engineering doesn’t looks like the other professions. It requires a lot of time but at the end it will definitely be worth it. If you want to speed up the leveling a bit you should take the Mining profession as well because you will need a lot of metal bars and gems. If you do not want to take Mining as your second profession it will be possible to skillup Engineering but with a lot gold spent on the Auction House.

What can an Engineer make?

Engineers are known for their ability to create many items and of course, junk! However, many items Engineers can craft are really useful and can help greatly in some situations.

One of the notable products of Engineering are definitely the Field Repair Bots and Goblin Jumper Cables. The Repair Bots have proved to be very useful in instances and raids where all the players can repair after wipe and continue without the need to run out and repair somewhere else. Repair Bot has a purpose to speed up raids and make raiding more convenient for all players.

The jumper cables are also great especially if you are a Rogue or a Hunter. If their party dies, Rogues and Hunters can Stealth or Feign Death and once the mobs have gone back to their starting positions these classes can try to resurrect a healer whom will then be able to resurrect the entire party or raid. This is also a time savior and a very convenient invention.

As an Engineer you can also make other nice items like the goggles that are really powerful. For the best leveling guide click here: WoW Ultimate Guide

Specialization

An Engineer, similar to a Blacksmith or a Tailor, can specialize in different fields of his profession. This happens once you gain 200 skill levels. You can choose either Goblin or Gnomish type of Engineering. These two specs differ in the teleporters location and in trinket abilities. Gnomish Engineers can use Transporter – Gadgetzan & Transporter – Toshley’s Station while Goblin Engineers can use Dimensional Ripper – Everlook & Dimensional Ripper – Area 52.

Engineering since the latest expansion

The WOTLK expansion brought many nice abilities and items to all professions and so it did with Engineering. As from this expansion Engineers are able to craft motorcycles! The Mekgineer’s Chopper is a schematic available for the Alliance players while Mechano-hog is a schematic available for the Horde players. As you can guess, collecting all mats for this amazing vehicle is time taking and pricy but still this motorcycle definitely looks cool and belongs to fast mounts.

The Engineer’s pets

With all the crazy gadgets Engineers can play with, pets are the most fun ones. There are 2 different ‘bind on pickup’pets they can create – Lil’ Smoky & Pet Bombling. Both recipes can be obtained in Gnomeregan, a level 28-35 instance located in Dun Morogh. If you would like more on WoW Leveling, click here: WoW Guide
