Aion Online Gameplay
Let me start by discussing what style of game Aion Online really is. Aion is an MMO RPG published by the Korean gaming company NCSoft. Adding the ability to fly, Aions game play is very similar to WoW.
You will be fighting along side real people in the endless battle of Elyos verse Asmodians. The races in Aion are the same idea as the factions in WoW.
By fighting the NPCs, you gain experience points, increasing your level and making your character better. Several other rewards that come from defeating NPCs are armor drops, different weapons, as well as crafting materials and kinah.

The end game goal of Aion is group player verse player in the Abyss, an zone that both races can access. The best weapons and gear come from the Abyss, making it a highly populated area full of NPCs and real play characters.
As with most MMO style games you get several standard classes, Healers, Tanks, and Damage Dealers.
Tanks by design do not deal very much of damage. By being able to take more damage, tanks make great group leaders.
Spiritmasters, Rangers, Assassins, and Gladiators are some of the damage dealing classes in Aion. Be wary playing a damage dealing class as you will not be able to take much damage, but you can definitely deal it out.

The Healers in Aion actually have damage dealing skills as well. While their main objective is to heal and or buff other players, they are given some damage skills allowing them to be great all around support classes.
NCSoft worked it out to make sure that all the classes are balanced, and you do not have to rely on once or two specific classes if you want to become a powerful player. By doing that they have allowed the players more freedom of choice for their specific game play style.
Over all Aion Online feels like a very pretty version of a few other really solid MMO’s. If you enjoyed the questing and faction based systems in World of Warcraft, you will surely enjoy Aion. Even if Aion is your first MMO, the game play begins simple enough for anyone to catch up quickly.
If you are looking for a fresh look on some old MMO favorites, look no further than Aion.
