Herbalism is one of the WoW’s main gathering professions. If you are leveling a character from 1 to 80 you will surely have no problem with leveling this wonderful profession. What are the characteristics of Herbalism?

Herbalism involves gathering different kinds of herbs all around the map. So what exactly you can do with herbs? Still, combining Herbalism with appropriate crafting profession such as Alchemy or Inscription will enable you to make a profitable source of income.

With Alchemy you can make various potions, elixirs and flasks with the use of herbs. All classes in WoW use these alchemy products so they would increase their abilities and performance in general, especially in raids and instances.

How do I find herbs?

Very simple. Herbs are present in abundance in almost every zone on the map. However, some areas are richer in herbs compared to other areas. When you learn Herbalism, you will also get an ability to track herbs on your mini map. It is advisable to have an addon like The Gatherer installed so you can keep a record of all herbs you found. Gatherer will keep record of the herbs picked up by any of your party or guild members who have installed the same add-on.

Benefits

With Herbalism you will get an ability called Lifeblood. This ability is instant, costs no mana and it can heal you about 3600 over 5 seconds. Lifeblood can be used only on every 3 minutes. For the players who are leveling up their characters, this is one of the extremely useful abilities, especially for the classes who do not have any other healing ability.

Another benefit is that you will be saving a considerable amount of gold when it comes to flasks, pots and elixirs. Considering that they are necessary consumables in any raid, you will be able to create the ones for your own need and also to profit by selling them on the Auction House. Choosing Herbalism according to your class

Is there any particular class which is perfectly suited for herbalism? No, that is not the case. Choosing Herbalism as a profession is solely your choice, however, keep in mind that some classes need it more than other classes. In example, tanks and healers are frequently seen to gather herbs since these two specializations highly depend on flasks, elixirs and pots. Being a Druid can come in handy when gathering herbs since Druids have a flight form which is instant. This makes herb farming for Druids considerably faster.

Novice gatherers think that normal bags will do just fine for their gathering needs. Think twice! They will soon realize that they are short with space in their bags. Despite it’s reputation as an ‘easy’ raid, having a solid Naxxramas strategy is important if you want to roll through this raid quickly. You will definitely have problems if you don’t know what you’re doing here.

I never came up with a coherent Naxxramas strategy on my own, but that’s ok. Instead of doing all the hard work myself, I learned the secret to beating Naxx and all the other new raids and instances. Would you like to know how I did it?

2007’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games was an undoubted success; it sold amazingly well for the last Olympics and now the 2009 winter Olympics will feature another instalment from the same people who built the last one.

Really, the game is just another version of what has been out before. It is just like the many button bashing games that have been featuring over the last 10 years but instead of seeing Sonic, Mario and Bowser dressed up in gloves, scarves plus womens jackets the actual game itself features way more possibilities than ever before as the game itself features new Wii fit technology so you can actually re-enact the movements on screen. This is pretty old hat technology for us really but the game itself has never seen this before which is why game critics from across the board are having a field day over it. What’s more is that the updated winter Olympics events seem to support more imaginative control systems (particularly on the Wii) and this time there is support for the wii balance board in the single player mode. This is brilliant news for people who would love to get a bit fitter these days and get as much excercise as possible.

This game is no doubt worth a punt at the Christmas number one spot and I am very excited to see what surprises this game has in store for us. There is plenty left in the locker room from Sonic and Mario and I don’t think we have seen the last of these guys just yet.
