Alchemy Leveling Guide
If you consider yourself a hardcore player of World of Warcraft, then you have already come across the importance of Alchemy. This skill yields potions, flasks and elixirs that are required to maximize success for most end-game content, especially when it comes to raiding.
If you are going to be serious about taking up alchemy, then you are going to need to take up herbalism on one of your characters. Alchemy is heavily dependant on the materials yield from herbalism, and these materials can often end up costing a fortune in the auction house. Being a master herbalist will make leveling an alchemist much less frustrating.
Alchemy is one of the oldest sciences that people are practicing till today and is evident that it gives expected results with its potions, flasks and elixirs! It not only helps to regain your strength or health but also helps in completing the world of war craft levels. It says that the strength is increased by 40%. Well, we have one observation that if you have potion, it got cool down. And limit with the usage, once per combat session.
Once you begin reaching the end of your alchemy leveling, you are going to have to choose a specific specialty to focus on – potions, elixirs, flasks or even transmutations. Each one has its perks, but you can only choose one specialty, so think through it thoroughly before choosing. By choosing a specialty, you are becoming much more efficient at making that particular creation.
It will be wise to keep in mind that the materials for alchemy become quite expensive by purchasing them from the auction house, especially since herbs have become more useful with the addition of inscriptionists. By using the auction house, you are subjecting yourself to the will of herbalists, and many of them insist on high prices.
To optimize the amount of space in your inventory with certain potions, you can also use injectors. Instead of being able to carry 5 potions in a stack, injectors allow a player to hold 20 potions in a stack. This becomes particularly useful in raids when a large amount of potions will be consumed, and the amount of space in the players inventory is vital.
As an alchemist, you will also gain the ability to transmute specific items. Having the ability to turn one item into another has many uses, particularly for someone interested in crafting and is short on the right type of materials. It is also handy if you like to make some gold, by turning an inexpensive item into an expensive item. Keep in mind, though, you can only perform a transmute every 24 hours.
